I stealthily headed down the alley to the next block. The corners of the buildings were starting to show signs of wear. Wind and blown sand were eroding the sharp corners away on the upper levels. I was getting farther from the protection of the giant wall.

I turned right and remained in that district while trying to pick up on conversations. There were some people that had not yet gone to bed. Their discussions were not very enlightening. Then there were those that were already awake for the day and headed to their jobs. They didn't have much to say at all.
